At the beginning of the school year is often when we teach colours. Beyond the pointing to objects and then asking the pupils to name colours what more can we do to teach the basic colours?
It is great for the kids to get hands on when learning new vocabulary. That is why color mixing and painting activities are such a staple. It is important too to reinforce with songs and games and I am working on my worksheets to go along with this. For songs to teach the colours look no further than this website with loads of songs all teaching a different colour.
I love technology and try to use it as much as possible so I was very pleased to find these apps for learning colours. They are for toddlers and upwards.
